Last Updated: February 10, 2023
Merged from tekroofingsystems.com/privacy-policy and the TEK Industries staging site privacy policy. Combined for completeness — no provisions from either source page were removed.
Introduction
TEK Industries, LLC ("we," "us," "our," or "TEK Industries") is committed to protecting online user privacy. This Online Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how TEK Industries, LLC collects, uses, and discloses the personal information that we obtain through our website(s), including tekroofingsystems.com and www.tekroofingsystems.com (each, the "Site" or "Website"). Information TEK Industries collects through the Site is used only in the manner and for the purposes described in this Policy. This Policy does not apply to other sites or online services that we maintain and that do not link to this Policy.
User Consent to This Policy
Any person accessing, browsing, or otherwise using the Site, either manually or via an automated device or program, is considered a "User." All Users are bound by the terms of this Policy. By using the Site, Users consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of personally identifiable information as described in this Policy.
Information We Collect
When you use our Website, you may choose to submit certain personal information to us, such as your name, address, email address, telephone number, and professional details (such as organization name and title).
TEK Industries also collects the email address of Users who email a question or comment to us or who submit a customer review.
TEK Industries collects billing and shipping addresses, including related email, phone number, and credit card numbers and expiration dates, from Users who purchase a product through the Site, register to become a TEK Industries member, or enter any contest or other promotional feature available on the Site.
In addition to information you submit directly, we and our vendors also obtain information about visitors to our Website using automated tracking technologies such as cookies, pixel tags, local storage, and device fingerprinting. These technologies may collect information relating to a User’s browsing patterns and technical device attributes, including IP address, device ID, browser type and version, operating system, device characteristics, site referral information, pages visited, content interacted with, and the time of the visit.
We may also use device fingerprinting technologies that help us recognize devices even when cookies are disabled, allowing us to enhance security, detect fraud, improve personalization, and analyze usage behavior across sessions.
For example, we may use Google services such as Google APIs or Google Analytics, including features such as audience targeting, behavioral reporting, demographics and interests reporting, and user segment analysis. For more information on how Google Analytics uses data collected through the Website, visit www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/. To opt out of Google Analytics cookies, visit http://www.google.com/settings/ads and https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/.
We, or external parties, may combine tracking technology information with other information we obtain about you, and may track your online activities over time and across different devices and online services.
Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
The Site uses cookies — files that a User’s web browser places on the User’s computer hard drive — to assign an identification code to the computer and to collect anonymous browsing information. On this Site, cookies are used in conjunction with session variables to track a User’s shopping cart, and expire as soon as an order is completed or if a shopping cart sits idle for a lengthy period without being checked out.
In addition to cookies, we may use other tracking technologies such as pixel tags, local storage, and device fingerprinting. These tools help us identify repeat visits, understand how Users interact with the Site, remember preferences, reduce fraud, and improve your experience.
You may set your web browser to notify you when you receive a cookie or to prevent cookies from being sent. If you prevent cookies, you may limit the functionality TEK Industries can provide, especially when purchasing an item on the Site. Some fingerprinting or tracking methods may continue to operate even if cookies are disabled.
Do Not Track ("DNT") is a privacy preference signal that may allow you to opt out of online tracking. Currently, our Website does not respond to DNT signals. You may be able to adjust your browser settings to limit cookies and other trackers; doing so may prevent you from accessing or using certain portions of the Website, or certain offerings may not function as intended.
How We Use the Information We Collect
TEK Industries uses the information it collects from Users to:
Use of Fingerprinting Technology
We may use fingerprinting and other advanced identification technologies to enhance the Site’s security and user experience. These tools collect technical and behavioral identifiers such as browser type, device configuration, IP address, and interaction patterns to help us:
We may share this information with service providers that assist us in these efforts. These partners are contractually obligated to use the data solely to provide services on our behalf.
Disclosure of Information to Third Parties
Unless we have your consent or except as required or permitted by law, TEK Industries will not sell, share, trade, or give away any information that it collects or receives regarding its Users.
We may disclose personal information we obtain through the Website to our subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, and agents, as well as to vendors who perform services on our behalf, including for purposes of fraud prevention, analytics, personalization, and improving Site performance. These providers are contractually restricted from using your information for any purpose other than providing services to TEK Industries.
We may also disclose information about Users to others if we have a good-faith belief that we are required to do so by law or legal process, to respond to claims, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TEK Industries or others.
Business Transactions
We may disclose your personal information in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business assets or TEK Industries itself (for example, in connection with a merger, reorganization, liquidation, bankruptcy, acquisition, or other business transaction), including in negotiations of such a transaction. See "Sale or Acquisition" below.
Legal and Safety Purposes
We may disclose your personal information as required or appropriate for legal compliance purposes — for example, to law enforcement, government authorities, or regulatory bodies — in order to comply with laws, regulations, or court orders, to assist in investigations to prevent fraud or other harms, or to enforce our terms, this Policy, or agreements with third parties.
Texting (SMS) Policy
We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your personal data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including platform providers, phone companies, and other vendors who assist in the delivery of text messages.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all categories of shared information described in this Policy — this information will not be shared with any third parties.
By checking the SMS consent box on our Site, you authorize TEK Industries to send you marketing calls and text messages at the number provided, including by using an autodialer or a prerecorded message. You are not required to give this authorization as a condition of doing business with TEK Industries.
Social Media and Linked Websites
The Site may provide hyperlinks or otherwise facilitate access to other websites or online services, including social media services, for your convenience. This Policy does not apply to the practices of companies we do not own or control. These third-party websites may collect and disclose information differently than this Site, and TEK Industries is not responsible for, and expressly disclaims all liability related to, the collection, use, or disclosure of information through these websites.
If you share your personal information with us through a social media service — for example, one of our official social media accounts, profiles, or pages — that information is governed by that social media service’s privacy policy, which we do not control. The social media service may permit us to use information posted to their service for our own purposes. Please review the privacy policies of the social media services you use.
Your Choices
If you no longer wish to receive marketing emails from us, you may opt out using the unsubscribe link in our emails. Even if you opt out of marketing or promotional emails, we may still send you transactional or informational emails.
You may also limit cookies and other tracking technologies through your browser settings, as described above under "Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies."
Your Privacy Rights (California and Other U.S. State Residents)
Residents of California and other U.S. states with consumer privacy laws may have the right to request information about the categories of personal information we collect, how we use it, and the third parties with whom we share it. You may also have the right to request deletion of your personal information or to opt out of certain types of data sharing, including data used for personalization or behavioral analytics.
To exercise your privacy rights, or to opt out of data used for personalization or behavioral analytics, please contact us using the information in the "Contact Us" section below.

Data Security
TEK Industries takes commercially reasonable security measures to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control, including credit card information submitted to us. When Users place orders or access account information, the Site uses secure server software (SSL) that encrypts information before it is sent to us.
Nevertheless, no system is perfect, and transmission via the Internet and online digital storage are not completely secure. TEK Industries makes no representations or warranties regarding the sufficiency of these security measures and cannot guarantee the security of information collected through the Site. TEK Industries shall not be responsible for any actual or consequential damages resulting from a lapse in compliance with this Policy due to a security breach or technical malfunction.
Sale or Acquisition of Business
In the event that another company acquires TEK Industries or all or part of its assets, we reserve the right to include the information we hold among the assets transferred to the acquiring company.
Applicable Law and International Issues
Information submitted to this Site is collected, processed, stored, disclosed, and disposed of in accordance with applicable U.S. law. If you are a non-U.S. User, you acknowledge and agree that we may collect and use your information, as discussed above, outside your resident jurisdiction, and that such information may be stored on servers located outside your resident jurisdiction. U.S. law may not provide the degree of protection for information that is available in other countries.
By providing us with your information, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy, understand it, agree to its terms, and consent to the transfer of such information outside your resident jurisdiction. If you do not consent to the terms of this Policy, please do not use this Site — but if you have already provided us with information, please contact us to let us know how you would like us to handle it.
